Pass it On Print E-mail

With the Pass it On marketing campaign we want to demonstrate the power of the mobile phone to the power of 2 by reaching every mobile in the UK. If everyone who receives the message forwards it on to just 2 more new people, potentially we could reach the entire mobile population of the UK in just a few hours. Here's how:

A group of teenagers check the messages on their mobile phones
One person sends the message to two people who forward it to two more people each making four. These four forward the message to two more people each making eight, who forward it to two more making 16. The 16 forward to two more people each making 32, then 64... 128... 256... 512... 1024... 2048... 4096... and so on. After just 25 levels of forwarding, if there were no duplications, we could have reached 33,554,432 mobile phones. Yes, over 33 million!

The message reads:

"Pass it on. Be part of a new marketing phenomenon for www.txtlit.co.uk to reach every mobile phone in the UK by forwarding this message to just two more people."

If you've received the message and passed it on then great, you're part of the promotion. If you haven't received it yet then why not start a new thread and send the message to two of your friends.
